MASSAGE

Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is often referred to as "classic massage”. Swedish massage involves different types of touch, pressure and flowing movements applied to the skin and the underlying tissues to release muscular tension, relieve pain, facilitate healing from injury, alleviate stress, relax the body and enhance a sense of wellbeing. These massage techniques also help to improve blood flow, and stimulate the lymphatic system. This increases the rate at which nutrients and oxygen are delivered to the muscles and toxins (e.g. lactic acid are flushed away). This can powerfully reduce discomfort experienced in the body and improve mobility from stiff muscles and joints

Pregnancy Massage
Studies have indicated that massage performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labour outcomes and newborn health.
Massage aims to relax muscle tension and improve lymphatic and blood circulation through mild pressure applied to the muscle groups of the body.

Hot Stones Massage
A hot stone massage is a deeply relaxing form of massage that follows the same principles of Swedish massage but with the addition of heated basalt stones, which penetrate deep into the muscles with the aid of massage oils. Hot stones are positioned on specific areas of the client’s body and allow for greater deep tissue manipulation and relaxation.

Back, Neck & Shoulders
Deep and warming massage techniques ease away muscular tension, aches and pains in the most common areas. This massage is great for people who are limited with their time and need a quick tension release.

Indian Head Massage
Also known as Champissage, Indian Head Massage is an alternative medicine massage which concentrates on the head, neck, face and head.
Traditionally practiced with the client sat on a chair the treatment can be done with or without oil. Indian Head Massage is a vigorous and energising treatment which increases the blood circulation to the head. This helps conditions such as headaches, jaw ache, eyestrain, hair loss , fatigue, sinusistis and a host of other ailments.

Pre-Blended Aromatherapy Massage
Pre-blended massage offers Swedish massage techniques, using rhythmic movements and varied pressures to work in harmony with the aromatherapy oils. Massage on its own is a wonderfully beneficial treatment, but the pre-blended oils used for an aromatherapy massage offer an added healing effect. Each massage can be tailored to suit your needs by using a range of oil blends and each oil has a different purpose or effect when absorbed into the skin throughout the treatment. Some offer relaxation, others are uplifting and some are great to target specific muscular aches and pains.
